Need input - cat acting strange after vaccinations

I brought my female cat to get vaccinations and since she was healthy the vet said it was ok to give Leukemia and the FVRCP vaccine at same time in two different legs. I knew better but I caved since he was sincere and persuasive. She has been sleeping ever since. Not moving, didn't get up to eat this morning, and I tried to move her to my bed but she didn't want to and looked so miserable I put her back in the closet where she is still laying there. I am afraid to take her temperature but her ears and nose don't feel warm. She will lift her head and say a hello meow. I want to try to get her to drink something. I am thinking to boil some chicken and try the broth or tuna juice? Of course the vet wants me to bring her in and it is going to stress her out so much. It is Saturday and I can hear how busy it is in there. I am very upset. What would you do?

cat owner again - IF you're going to go ahead with these re-vaccinations (and get the adjuvanted vaccines), why the heck don't you insist that they be given IN THE TAIL ?

If you haven't seen Mitts&Tess' thread about that, or, if you want it/extra reading about it, just post back !

It's also best to do vaccines one-at-a-time.

I knew about that one at a time but never read about the tail. This is a cat vet and so I bought what he said. I am going to do Blanco one at a time and then no more for a MINIMUM of 3 years. There is no real rabies threat and I may get the titer test. Believe me I feel bad but they go outside so I felt they should have one more shot.

I finally felt I had to do something as I was paralyzed from inaction. She is slowly getting better but still now asking for food. I fed her a treat - natural deli turkey from Trader Joe's. Probably salty but figured she ate. She is very stiff on that back leg. Judging from the pain in her back leg which was popular with the oncologists, I think her skinny little tail would be a tough go. Has anyone here had that done?
The sad thing is I asked the vet to vaccinate lower on the leg and maybe that is why it hurts her so much. It is a lot skinnier.

I'm glad she's feeling better! Does it seem like the stiffness in her leg is still improving? One of my cats had an allergic reaction to the rabies vaccine last fall and it was so awful seeing how terrible she appeared to feel. That sounds like a good idea to break Blanco's shots up over multiple visits if you can manage to get him into the vet multiple times. If you didn't end up bringing Mama Cat back to the vet, have them make a note in her file that she had a negative reaction to her shot and hopefully next time they can do it in the tail or another location that hopefully won't cause her as much discomfort.

Mama is back to herself a little over 24 hours. They sent me a survey and I will tell them that I would have appreciated more warning. They told me to call if swelling or limping but didn't mention she might not move! She is still a little Leary of me but she spent a few hours in my lap. We will see if tomorrow she comes in for her morning kitty massage. Blanco is a lot more jumpy so I would have to spread them out a lot or he wont come home for awhile and punish me. I will be glad when this is done.
